I almost missed the spring time here in Georgia. I left for Brooklyn on March 20th as it beginning to blossom and returned in April when many of the blooms were gone. A couple of days during April in North Carolina allowed me capture these images as their spring comes a bit later and thus many plants were still in bloom.

Unfortunately frosts and storms and heavy rains took their toll before I had taken many images. I am not sure what this white bloom is. Please add a comment if you recognize it. I’ll be posting a lilac tomorrow.

A friend had a surprise visit for Easter when her oldest daughter and son-in-law who are out-of-state came to visit. We worked them into our schedule for a family portrait. We enjoyed the evening and their energy.

I have been away for quite while and not kept the blog up, but I have a good excuse! Our second grandson arrived in March almost two weeks early in New York. While I was there my daughter Julie and I set up a studio “of sorts” in her apartment using bounce light from my strobe and window light. Although we very cramped, we did get some awesome photographs. We enjoyed trying on darling knit hats that a friend had made for the baby. I wonder what he will say when he’s grown..”awe Mom did you have to put me in those hats?” But for now he’s too young to protest. As always images p0sted here are for you to enjoy looking at but not to copy.
