Please note that we specialize in portraiture of families, children, couples, bridals, maternity, and babies.  We do not do wedding day/reception coverage.

Because we do custom photography, we charge a creative session fee for our time and use of our professional equipment to create the previews you make your selection from and  we require a minimum print order.  Creative Session Fees do not include prints except in the Pre-Session Collections that including the session fee and specified  prints when one is  purchased and paid for prior to the session.

We offer several creative session types beginning at $100.00.  Usually we do location photography at a local park, in your yard or in your home.  When bringing studio lighting into your home the minimum charge is $150.  Most of our sessions last between one to two hours.  We usually include some “candid shots” while doing more traditional portraits. for fun and to help relax everyone.  These are often favorites of parents who will say, “that’s the way we really are!”

Your minimum initial order is $150.00, which is in addition to the session fee listed above.  Re-orders are also a minimum order of $100.00.

When we photograph a family of more than 3 individuals we will focus primarily on creating images of the entire family. After those poses are completed, if time permits, we will do other groups, such as a grouping of the children, or parents, or grandparents.  When you arrange for a group portrait we do not do individual portraits during the same session.  Please plan to  schedule another time to have individual poses made if your group consists of four more individuals, including pets.

We have an a la cart price list and we offer several combinations of prints in collections which provides a savings from purchasing individual prints from the a la cart price list.

Most clients purchase between $400 and $600  on their initial print orders plus their session fees.  The print orders usually includes a wall portrait size 11×14, 16×20, 20×24 or larger.

The wall prints are available as a mounted  linen textured prints in most sizes as well as a print on canvas and gallery wrapped canvases.

Making your selection.  Within a few days of your session we will provide you with a sneak peak of a 2 to 3 images from your session while we sort through, edit, and order printed “originals”previews.  We eliminate blinks, duplicates, and bring the selection down to somewhere between 12 and 30 previews depending on the session.  Some of these previews maybe posted on our blog as a “sneak peek”, or we may e-mail you a private link to view them. About 10 days to 2 weeks later we will meet with you to view and place your order from the printed previews.  After the order is placed we will post the previews on a password protected ordering gallery for 3 days in case there may be others who want to place an order from the session. There is a $50 charge to re-post the gallery on line after it expires.  This charge is applied to the minimum reprint order of $125.00 if an order is placed within the 3 day reposting of the gallery.

For some sessions we present 5×7 printed “originals” of the previews.   These are of the same quality as our finished prints but are called “originals” because they are the first print from the file.  We do make these available for purchase in two different ways.  If you wish to retain the preview set for selection for your print order we require a non-refundable payment of $600* (see note)  plus $42.00 tax  which will be applied toward your print order.  If you do not place an order within 72 hours and return all the previews, then the previews will be considered purchased for the $600.00.  Any other prints will be additional.  *This price could vary depending on the number of previews, but this is the usual amount charged.)  You may not retain “just a few” of the original preview prints overnight for selection.  When you purchase the “originals” they are purchased as you see them.

A survey of the prices  professional photographers in the local area and nationwide are charging for custom prints shows we are in the mid-range with the  majority of these photographers charging $40 to $60 for an 8×10 a la cart.   Often times, too, the “big box” and chain studios prices fall into similar prices for additional prints after the initial packages that they offer at give away prices.  Our a la cart 8×10s are $50.00  when purchased individually  and less when purchased in multiples of three of the same print and in our collection pricing.   Smaller gift prints 5×7 and smaller  are $35.00 each.  If you purchase a large number for  announcements, enclosures, etc., we do have a quantity price when purchased with a minimum order.  Any size smaller than 5×7 or 5×5 may only be ordered when a larger print of the same pose has been ordered.

A 5×7 Leather Session Album is a popular choice containing 30 or 40 5×7s from your session to add to a minimum print order and it’s price goes down when your print order grows.
